IS HEALTH  WEALTH?

Almost everyone is in pursuit of wealth, but what is it?

Lots of money, family, a big house, success at work, social recognition?

Arguably it could be many things, but personally I rate health as wealth.

Good health allows the pursuit of the other things if that is what is important to you, but the other things will not  be so enjoyable if health is poor.

It is such a simple requirement, but has become increasingly difficult to achieve.

In the western world, we are living longer. Chronic diseases which would have killed us before, have now  manifested themselves, particularly in the elderly age group. Treatments are better, but do not return us to full health.

Problems with mental health have sky rocketed and immune disorders are on the increase.

It is therefore up to us as individuals to strive to prevent ill health.

Diet and lifestyle are key, plus being acquaint with how the body works, and taking care of it.

Society plays a part, but at the end of the day it is down to us as individuals.

New beginnings!

Blog Corner: A BIRD`S EYE VIEW OF LIFE!

 ABOUT:

Two years ago, I set myself a challenge.

Being more or less technologically clueless, I wanted to find out if I could build myself a website and  blog!

I had done nothing like it before, and it was a case of trial and error, but with the amazing amount of help which is available online, gradually something  began to emerge.

After a bit of experimentation, my subject of choice, was directly related to a debilitating spell of  post viral fatigue, which  followed a flu like episode.

It was so overwhelming and unexpected, not to mention unpleasant and long lasting. that I decided  to  research this enigmatic condition  and find out a bit more about it  and what sort of treatments were available.

I discovered that there are thousands of people affected, their symptoms  varying from a period of a few weeks, to a few years.

Some  had developed  fatigue following Covid, whilst others  had flu and flu like episodes.

With no real pathway to follow, I decided to create my own, which involved eating non processed good quality food, lots of rest, comfortable exercise and something to occupy my time, without being too taxing.

It took several months, but gradually I began to feel better, and my energy levels  improved.

The next step seemed to be to write about it, and perhaps share some of the ups and downs, but more importantly the progress I had made.

The website and blog became not just a hobby, but therapy too.

I didn`t have any audience expectations, but bit by bit I realised that I had viewers who seemed to like the content.

I plan to  continue with my blogs, which will touch on health and also the importance of the natural world, which we tend to forget about, but is crucial to our well being, especially mental health.

If you find the content interesting and useful, I  would be delighted if you would choose to  continue to Like and Subscribe.

Thank you.
