However, one bright light on the horizon has been the unseasonally mild weather which has to date, had the bonus of reducing the need for high heating costs.
This is a further example of how the weather pattern is changing and is also having an effect on the natural world.

In turn this affects the habitats for birds, animals and insects which depend on the cycle of nature in order to survive.
